چکیده

Introduction: The highest cause of death is cardiac arrest. Proper manual chest compression will increase survival aim this study was to know the implementation compressions for arrest patient in Indonesia. Methods: This used a descriptive quantitative design. samples were nurse and code blue team when performing 74 patients experiencing sample have body mass index (BMI) > 20. Research conducted two hospitals Java, Indonesia. Implementation measured based on depth accuracy. Depth accuracy assessed comparison number R waves with height >10 mV bedside monitor performed. data analyzed descriptively (mean, median, mode, standard deviation, variances). Results: Result mean 75.97%. result shows still under American Heart Association (AHA) recommendation 80%, because rate are not standardized. Chest rates between 100-160 rates/minute, while AHA’s recommendations 100-120 rates/minute. High speed causes decrease depth. Conclusion: In conclusion, Indonesia if effective. Nurses practice considering use resuscitation aids.

Relationship between chest compression rates and outcomes from cardiac arrest.

BACKGROUND Guidelines for cardiopulmonary resuscitation recommend a chest compression rate of at least 100 compressions per minute. Animal and human studies have reported that blood flow is greatest with chest compression rates near 120/min, but few have reported rates used during out-of-hospital (OOH) cardiopulmonary resuscitation or the relationship between rate and outcome. The purpose of th...
